Uploading Ads to MSNBC

MSNBC accepts .swf and .gif formats in 2 dimensions: 300 x 250 and 728 x 90.

Uploading Video Ads to MSNBC

Accepted formats:	AVI, ASF, Windows Media, or MPEG.
Aspect ratio:	4:3 recommended; others will be accepted but may be letterboxed when they run.
Border:	Some publishers require a one-pixel border, while others require only that your ad have a border with a contrasting color.
Duration:	This varies by publisher, but the limit for many publishers is 30 seconds. We will accept video ads with a duration of up to 2 minutes.
File size limit:	This varies by publisher, but the limit for many publishers is 1.2 MB. We will accept video ads as large as 75 MB, and some publishers will run the ad at its full upload size. However, to garner wider distribution for your ad, we will automatically shrink your file (thus degrading the video quality somewhat) when necessary to meet the smaller file requirements of some publishers.
Frame rate:	Minimum of 14 frames per second (fps) with a maximum of 24 fps.
Placements:	300 x 250
Playback:	Video ad playback occurs automatically within the web pages on which the ads appear, while sound must be initiated by the viewer. The video will not replay unless the viewer clicks for a replay.
